Tuesday - April Fool's Day
Well, thankfully no one has made a fool out of me today... not I anyone else.
Today has been running smoothly. Except for my efforts to fall asleep at my desk this morning. ::blushes:: I can't help it, I hit a monotonous streak of activities and I start nodding off despite my best efforts. I stood up, walked around, took a few of the incoming calls... Snac- huh? ::blinks in confusion:: 'Was I just snoring?'
Anyway... still have an expense report to do because he gave me nothing to work with for information. I sent a pdf of his receipts... each receipt numbered... asking which of these was billable to a client... his reply... he thinks that the $29.00 MAY BE billable to X Client Corp. Joy. Lovely. Why'd I bother asking?
Anyway, now I'm ordering food for two different groups of people from two different delivery places and they are both making me be the money holder, which means the waitress when the food gets here. Joy. Where's my f*cking uniform and you'd best not be a cheap tipper!

Haven't been fooled once today, either. By myself or by anyone else.
Nice day at work, less stress than last week. Helps that my buddy veteran is at work... Him being there makes all the difference!
I don't think anyone of the team leaders or higher ups even tried to pull a prank today. Usually they make a little one, the higher ups aims at the team leaders and have been known to cause some mayhem with their pranks. Not so much today.
Nice, sadly today's the last day (in office) for a major cutie I work with. Nick, a Brit, is leaving the company on Friday. But first he needs to jet off to finish a project. Joy. Wish this was a joke but it's not.
The British hottie is outta here.
::sniffles... WAH!!!!::
::Pats Kiri's back::
There, there... I'm sure he doesn't do it to hurt you.
::Strokes Kiri's back::
::Cliché time::
There'll be other cuties... Maybe not Brits, but cuties the same... I know, doesn't do squat, does it?
No, no, it doesn't. He's like hot in a hot way. And he doesn't act like a hot guy. He's actually sweet, polite, sarcastic at moments, able to laugh at himself and his office is directly BEHIND ME!!!! WAH!!!! No lovely accent anymore. Just American and Hispanic.
Well, you have my sympathy, regardless. Never fun loosing the cuties, I know. Been there, done that... didn't even get a freaking T-shirt.
"The office hottie left and all I got was this stupid t-shirt"
This one? Yeah, I'm thinking about having it made for all of the girls in the office.
The Controller, a mom, said that we keep losing the cuties and hiring middle-aged balding bores. LOL She's so right.
Sounds like our kind of woman!
All the cuties move on, eventually. It's a law of nature, unfortunately!
But... but... why not hire more cuties then? Where are the cuties going? We have nice offices! We have a loyal and loving support staff! We have free lunches on Mondays! Here, cutie, cutie, cutie!
I don't know, seems they keep getting bigger and better offers. All in all, we can't compete with the almighty dollar...
Dollar? Heck, he's gone back to Pounds... Euros...
I still need a new office map so I know who I need to get moved into what available office space. Plus I need a new desk and office stuff.
Well, if he's headed back to England, he's going for the pounds. As weak as the dollar is, today, he's trading up. Euro's are trading stronger than dollars too...
I know and short of a company ordered trip (and company paid), I won't be going anywher... let alone Europe.
Aigh! He's moving to Sydney!!!! He just sent his 'good bye' email. SYDNEY!!!!
He's trading for Aussie dollars! Wow, well color me green with envy! He's gonna meet Skippy!
Color me green with envy too. Aussie land, so close to New Zealand... all those lovely accents... Not sure about the many, many poisonous crawling and/or slithering things, but I'd have to live in a big city anyway.
::Points at Kiri::
Well, DUH!
Well, I'll see if I can't hit him up for post cards and maybe a few pictures. Lucky him.
You do that.
In the meantime I'll sulk in my corner about everyone else having better luck than me...
::Walks off, pout in place::
What? Yes, yes. I owe you more postcards, but honestly. Aren't you sick of my reachable parts of the country?
I gotta get a camera.
::Head pops up::
Postcards, for me? I love postcards!
Camera? You can have mine! My new phone has a better camera!
I'll take it. LOL I'm disparate.
It's an old hp photosmart 320. 2,1 megapixel and 4x digital zoom.
It comes with a 64 MB memory card and uses 4 AA batteries. Batteries will not be included as the postage will kill me even without the added weight. It weighs 5,9 oz without the batteries, 9,2 oz with.
Shoot me a mail with updated address info and I'll wrap it in bubble wrap and stick it in a box for you. I'll take my payment in Ranch dressing mix packs...
Ok... done.
still waiting for my first supply... Whatever happened to it, I wonder...
I think they are still in the old office. I'll buy new packets. I can mail them from here without a problem. :-D
::Coos::
OK - email exchange of addresses.
